Dancing with Ghosts
Hania Rani's AI Reinterpretation
Barcelona, Spain
What happens when we let AI feel music?
At Prompt, we’ve spent the last three years exploring generative AI not just as a tool, but as a language—one that speaks in glitches, motion, rhythm, and atmosphere.
This piece is not an imitation. It’s a translation. A new way of sensing music through imagery shaped by algorithms and artistic intent.
Building our own instruments,
architecture of the system
To create this reinterpretation, we designed a modular pipeline within ComfyUI, tailored specifically to this project. We combined tools like ControlNet and IPAdapter to control nuance, flow, and texture—preserving the emotional essence of the original while transforming it into something entirely different.
This approach goes beyond prompt-writing. It’s about architecting the entire system that generates the image—crafting from constraint, not chaos..
AI as collaborator, not shortcut,
a new conversation
Working with AI is not about speed or automation. For us, it’s about opening doors to visual forms that couldn’t exist otherwise.
It allows us to code a camera, shape a timeline, build atmosphere from logic. The artist becomes the designer of the tool—and the result, something that lives between machine and emotion.
The outcome,
a new way of seeing
Dancing with Ghosts is the outcome of this search: a moving image born from experimentation, structure, and sensitivity.
It’s not just a music video—it’s a proposal. For how we might craft meaning through technology. For how we might feel something completely new.
